The Studio

Rear Window Studios was built by Gang of Four founder and producer Andy Gill, and used by him for over 20 years with artists including not only Gang Of Four but The Futureheads, Bono, The Young Knives, Killing Joke and many others. The studio offers the complete recording experience, with a great-sounding live room that is perfect for tracking drums. A glass wall separates the live room from the ample control room, which is fitted with a great selection of analog gear, Pro Tools HDX system, and a fabulous Burl Audio B80 Mothership AD/DA system.

The studio is located in the heart of central London, at a short walking distance from Chancery Lane and Farringdon tube stations. Offering a relaxed environment with natural daylight, the live and control rooms are separated by a glass wall which allows great visual contact between the artist and the producer/engineer. The control room has been treated to achieve a flat frequency response, making it an ideal mixing environment. The studio boasts an enviable collection of classic vintage and modern industry standard microphones and outboard equipment, a superb monitoring system and some of the best digital converters in the business, making it a perfect analogue and digital hybrid set up.
