Miloco provides an online mixing service that is increasingly popular with clients all over the world. The process is simple: you send us tracks to mix via post, courier or online and a Miloco engineer will then work on them remotely before sending back the finished mixes.
Online mixing is a flexible, effective and affordable way for you to make the most of Miloco's brilliant mix engineers and studios, which include high-end SSL and Neve rooms as well as more affordable studios and Pro Tools suites.
We will firstly ask you to decide which engineer you would like to use for your mix. Our engineers cover all genres, from rock to pop, hip hop to indie and everything in between. You can view all Miloco's mix engineers by clicking here, and then discuss with our office team each engineer's expertise, rates and availability. We will also need to know your time frame, and will always (within reason) have the work completed by the time you need it done by. A one to two-week completion date is the minimum standard.
To find out more about online mixing call the Miloco office on +44 (0)20 7232 0008, or email firstname.lastname@example.org to chat to a member of staff about your project.
Please note that all online mixing sessions are offered as unattended, so clients will not be present during the session.
Online mixing FAQs
When and how do I pay?
Once the session has been agreed and confirmed we shall require full payment in advance of the mix session. We shall send you an invoice and you can either pay via bank transfer, cheque or credit card (please note credit card transactions incur a 2% surcharge). All prices quoted exclude VAT.
How many tracks can be submitted? How should they be submitted?
Please ensure your track count does not exceed 48. Make sure that every track is labeled correctly. If you are having problems with the track count and need to reduce it, we recommend that you bounce down any backing vocals to stereo track.
How should tracks be formatted?
We mix the tracks in Pro Tools. The latest version we are currently running is 10 or 11 depending on the studio. If the tracks have been done in a recording package other than Pro Tools, please make sure all the tracks are consolidated or bounced down to start from bar one, beat one.
If you have used any plug-ins which you feel are integral to the sound of the mix, please send us two versions of that particular track. Please bounce down a dry version without the effect and a processed version with the plug-in.
Please be aware that the price quoted is to mix the tracks supplied. If there are timing issues, tuning issues, comping or any other preparatory work to be done we shall have to charge a further amount depending on the amount of work involved. Once we receive the track to be mixed, our engineer will let you know if this is the case.
Can reference mixes be submitted?
If you have an idea of where your mix should be heading, any monitor mix supplied from home will help the direction the engineer takes. If there is a direction that you want the track to go down and you can give us a track by an artist to compare it to, let us know what and we shall give it a listen.
Am I allowed mix revisions?
On every package available there will be one revision allowed to the mix. Please take time to listen to your mix carefully and come up with a full list of changes. Any subsequent changes can be done, but there will be a further charge. We will deliver the mix for approval by 8pm and any revisions can then be done overnight or first thing in the morning to avoid recalls.
How long will the job take?
If you are happy to use a non-specific studio or engineer, the turnaround time will be five days. For specific engineers or specific studios we shall have to schedule the session according to other bookings already taken. At the time of your enquiry we can give you an estimate when the job will be completed.
If you have any questions about any of these studios or would like to make a booking enquiry please call our bookings team on +44 (0) 207 232 0008 or fill out the booking form below.
If you have queries about multiple studios you only need to fill out one contact form. If you are enquiring about work experience please go to this page.
