Introducing the third and final component of London's brand new Church Studios complex. This is the incredible Church Studio 2, opened under the ownership of leading UK Producer Paul Epworth. Church 2's launch follows a huge reconstruction project designed by the Walters-Storyk Design Group and built by the Miloco Builds team, who with Paul have transformed this famous recording facility's downstairs space into a phenomenal SSL studio.
The Church Studio 2's equipment spec is a glittering display of world class gear. Leading the way is the studio's original SSL 4000G console which has been completely recapped and vastly improved from when it was last in use. This is now a pristine quality board in keeping with the standards of its accompanying gear, most notably Paul's insanely powerful custom-made Augspurger Monitors with horn compression drivers and 4 x 18" subs. The sight of these speakers alone sends a shiver down the spine, but wait until you power them up. There is a fantastic array of outboard gear to sink your teeth into, plus a huge selection of floating equipment shared with the other studios in the building, and so subject to availability.
Not only does this immense choice of gear set The Church 2 apart from most other London SSL studios, but its atmopshere too is something really special. Much time and thought has been put into creating a high-tech, futuristic yet truly dynamic creative vibe, epitomised by the control room's state-of-the-art lighting system. However the studio's live room and booth feature original church windows letting plenty of sunlight into the room which is great if you are tracking a band.
Welcome to The Church Studio 2. This is the sound...
