The Church Studio 3 is the second room to open as part of the Church relaunch, and was always going to be a special writing room to cater for UK Producer Paul Epworth's projects. Better still is that Church 3 is available for you to use too.
There is some great gear living in Church 3: a Shadow Hills Industries The Equinox summing mixer and 20 channel Neve Sidecar; Several Mic Pre's, EQs and Dynamics; a Yamaha Electric Piano; and Avid HDX 2 running Pro Tools 10 HD loaded with an arsenal of plug-ins. It is a terrific setup for songwriters, but ontop of this is a huge collection of gear in The Church's other two rooms, subject to availability.
The studio was designed by the famous WSDG and built by the Miloco Builds team following the designs of John Storyk. Its control room and booth exude style and modernity. Beautiful white surfaces and panels and a pinewood floor are key to the room's aesthetics, not to mention a state-of-the-art lighting installation that allows clients to set the preferred mood with an extensive offering of ambient shades - mellow blue, fiery red... take your pick. During daylight hours the room also benefits from natural light provided by original floor-to-ceiling arch windows.
With two large commercial facilities also onsite there is a constant vibrancy throughout the building which bands, artists and producers have fed off for the many years of The Church's rich history. Throw in a desirable North London postcode with the many pubs, cafes and restaurants of Crouch End and The Church Studio 3 may just be the ideal destination for your next writing project.
