Soho Sound Kitchen is a brand new 5.1 SSL recording and mix studio in King’s Cross, London, having recently moved from a previous site in Soho.
This state-of-the-art facility was setup up by producer/engineer Goetz Botzenhardt (Dido, Faithless, Sugababes, Pet Shop Boys) and music composer Christian Henson, and was designed and built by Munro Acoustics. It has a control room which features an SSL E-4044 console, Adam 5.1 Surround Sound Monitoring and a comprehensively loaded 48 channel Pro Tools 10 HDX system. The room also boasts a large selection of top end outboard.
For recording purposes there is a 200 sq ft live room that is great for recording and overdubbing. It has a good collection of microphones and can accommodate a rhythm section and ensembles of up to six string players.
Soho Sound Kitchen also benefits from a prime location. You can reach the exciting new Kings Cross development from the tube station in less than ten minutes on foot, and the popular areas of Camden and Islington are also nearby.
