The second great new studio we’re welcoming to Miloco this week is the very first we have collaborated with in Ireland, which is really exciting…
Attica Audio Recording was opened in 2012 by Villagers guitarist Tommy McLaughlin to provide a unique and fully-featured residnetial recording studio at brilliant prices. Based in Co. Donegal, Ireland, the studio has been designed from the ground up to be an exceptional acoustic space.
The control room is based around a 1978 Harrison 3232b Console with monitoring provided by ATC SCM25A & Yamaha NS10’s. Recording is to a Pro Tools HD Native system running on the latest Mac Pro computer with AVID, Lynx & Burl AD/DA converters with mic pre’s and outboard by API, UA, Tube-Tech, Crane Song and many more.
Attica is home to two recording rooms. Parkhead, the main live area, is 1400 sq.ft and has some of the best natural light you will ever see in a recording studio. Lisbon, the second live area, is a 220 sq.ft booth with a very dead and controlled acoustic character even at very low frequencies. All of the live areas have wooden floors, 17ft ceilings & excellent sight lines, not least to mention the fantastic collections of microphones and backline available to clients at no extra cost. View the full spec here.
Located in a truly beautiful and peaceful part of rural Ireland, Attica is an amazing creative getaway that is new to the industry. To find out more on Attica Audio Recording visit www.miloco.co.uk/attica.
