Jazzanova Recording Studio (JRS) is a stylish complex in the centre of Berlin, and the second studio in Germany to join the Miloco group. We are thrilled to have our first Berlin studio on the Miloco books, especially one that is so impressive.
Founder and designer of JRS Axel Reinemer is one of the driving forces behind innovative Berlin-based musical collective Jazzanova. Axel has a great track record in releasing some great jazz dance records, and with his vision to create the perfect recording and mixing environment he is a powerful force to have by your side in the studio.
The studio is stunning. The rare 32-channel Neumann console was custom-built for the Konzerthaus Berlin, and as you would expect from a brand like Neumann it sounds superb. Add to this the top-of-the-range Pro Tools | HDX 2 system plus a collection of retro outboard and you will find everything at your fingertips in the control room.
This studio doesn’t have just one live area but four seperate recording areas, making JRS a fantastic studio for recording bands. Adding other colours to the sound palette at JRS are a great collection of instruments including a Yamaha S6 grand piano and Grosskopf upright piano, the latter of which has featured on Jazzanova recordings.
