When you think of the most vibrant and creative area of London, nothing comes close to Shoreditch in East London, and Rooftop studio is lucky enough to be located right in the middle of it. A recent addition to the Miloco fold, Rooftop is a writing studio within The Premises Studios complex – a creative hub for musicians and the ideal environment for making great music.
Sitting atop Hackney Road, Rooftop makes you feel like king of the castle, with a private balcony that opens out directly from the control room, which is particularly lovely during balmy summer nights. This position also provides plenty of natural light which isn’t always easy to come by in city studios. The control room is stocked with couches for 10, a custom-built workstation and user-friendly computer interfacing. The comprehensive gear list features a range of mics, converters, amps, monitors and software from the likes of Neve, Sony, Focusrite, Avalon, Logic and Yamaha.
Rooftop was created by Alex ‘Cores’ Hayes to provide a comfortable and relaxed creative environment for writers, producers, artists and engineers and he has designed the studio as such to provide clients with great vibe, comfort and sound. And if ever you need help to get your creative juices flowing, within a stone’s throw of the studio are the coolest cafes, bars, clubs and live music venues the city has to offer.
