Following the success of her self titled debut album in 2017, Dua Lipa returned to the music scene with her second studio album Future Nostalgia in March 2020 – to critical acclaim. Its lead single, Don’t Start Now reached number two on both the UK Singles Chart and the US Billboard Hot 100.
Several tracks from the new release were worked on at Miloco Studios’ Sleeper Sounds space – the creation of British songwriter and producer, Guy Chambers.
The album’s second single, Physical was written and produced by Dua Lipa, Koz, Coffee and Sarah Hudson at Sleeper Sounds, while vocals were recorded by Cam Gower-Poole and Lorna Blackwood.
The track Love Again was written and produced by Dua Lipa, Koz, Coffee and Chelcee Grimes at the studio, with vocals recorded by Cam Gower-Poole and Lorna Blackwood.
Vocals for the track Cool were recorded by Cam Gower-Poole and Lorna Blackwood, with some backing vocals done by Tove Lo, while Levitating was written at Sleeper Sounds, with some production completed by Dua Lipa, Koz, Coffee and Sarah Hudson.
Miloco assistant Claude Vause worked on the record, and reports that the tracks that were written and produced there made use of the studio’s many vintage synths and guitars.
