After being pursuaded by their neighbours, former Sex Pistols Steve Jones & Paul Cook, Sara Dalin & Keren Woodward formed Bananarama in 1981. After kicking things off with the release of “It ain’t what you do” with Terry Hall’s (ex Specials) new production project Fun Boy Three in 1982, the hits continued over the next 10 years, seeing the girls go into the studio with producers as diverse as Stock Aitken & Waterman of The Hit Factory, Paul Cook himself, Swain & Jolley and Youth of Killing Joke, all of which helped Bananarama become iconic 1980s pop stars.
Bananarama began overdubbing and mixing tracks for a new project with producer Easy in The Engine Room in 2005. Joe Hirst engineered the sessions.
