The Rumble Strips story started in the Devonshire market town of Tavistock before they relocated to London. It is alleged that the primary reason the band formed at all is that the guitarist’s uncle also played in a band and looked cool in a leather jacket (quotation needed).
More importantly, Rumble Strips played a unique strand of brass-friendly indie rock which turned heads amongst indie fans and press alike in the mid to late 2000s. They were in The Square in January 2007 mixing some b-sides with producer/engineer Iain Gore.
