Recorded in part at Angelic Studios and The Pool studios, Mumford And Sons’ second album, ‘Babel’ debuted at number one in the UK album charts, as well as the US Billboard 200. It was the fasted selling record of 2012, and was the biggest selling debut album in the US at the time, shifting 600,000 copies in its first week.
With the second album a natural progression for the band, the majority is still dominated by banjos, barn dance melodies and sing-along anthems.
As with their previous record, ‘Sigh No More’, Babel was produced by Markus Dravs and engineered by Matt Lawrence, who also won a Grammy for his work on the album! Congratulations Matt!
