Alphabeat gave an interview on the Miloco website during the 2007 album session in The Engine Room studio with producer Mike Spencer.
Miloco: Name of band members and instrument of choice?
Anders Bonlokke – guitar
Troels Hansen – drums
Rasmus Nagel – keys
Anders Reinholdt – bass
Anders Nielsen – vocal
Stine Bramsen – vocal
Quick history – when started, previous bands you were in, etc. etc.
Boys met in high school and later the girl joined and Alphabeat was formed. Album (debut) was released in March 2007 in their native country Denmark. Currently editing the above mentioned album in order to release it in the UK early next year (2008).
What project are you doing here at Miloco (e.g. recording, mixing or remixing / single tracks or album) and when’s it due to be released?
See above – both mixing old stuff and recording a couple of new tracks.
Which Miloco studio/s are you using and why did you choose it/them?
The Neve studio – because Mike Spencer (producer) is the dude! He’s like Jesus – he turns water into Pop!
Please describe The Neve (Engine Room) in one line
It’s the “Neve” black!
How would you describe the material you’re working on?
Pop with a capital P!!!
A few silly questions / requests that really don’t mind silly answers!! –
The song you wished you’d written:
Burt Bacharach – “Say A Little Prayer”. Fantastic pop tune!
The song you’re glad you didn’t write:
James Blunt – “Wise Men”…………. Get a Haircut!
What’s the strangest rumour you ever heard about yourself?
That we’re all gay…
You are placed infront of a time machine. Which year in history would you go to and why?
1979 – We would go to the local record store and get the new album “Off The Wall” by the promising new artist Michael Jackson. Yeah, he’ll be big someday, just continue the hard work, lad…! And we’d experience the 80s young and beautiful. Wow!
