Miloco is proud to announce that the group is now representing studios in the USA, starting with key recording cities Los Angeles, Nashville, New York, and San Francisco. The first four studios are Eldorado in Los Angeles, The Bunker Studio in New York, Welcome to 1979 in Nashville, and Studio Trilogy in San Francisco.
The Bunker Studio in Brooklyn, New York is owned and run by producer and musician John Davis and producer and engineer Aaron Nevezie. Based around an SSL E series console and Pro Tools HD, Studio A comes with an incredible amount of outboard, back-line, and microphones, while Studio B contains a recently installed Neve 8058 that is again complemented with a great selection of gear.
Over on the west coast, producer, mixer, and self-confessed terrible surfer Rich Costey runs Los Angeles’ Eldorado Recording Studios. Based around a 48-channel SSL XL 9000 K console, mastering-grade full-range PMC monitors, and a great selection of outboard that highlights a vast collection of external mic pres, EQs, and compressors, the main control room is perfect for bands to record in. Software includes Pro Tools 10 and 11, Logic X, Cubase, and Ableton. On top of this there is a secondary control room, housing an impressive collection of synths and keyboards, which also connects to the main live room and has its own booth.
Just up the coast in San Francisco, the SSL Room is the focal point of the equally impressive Studio Trilogy. It features an 80-channel SSL XL 9000K console, is 5.1 capable, and its centre of attention is analogue processing, with a combination of new and vintage analogue gear. The room is the definitive mixing studio, with a soffit mounted Genelec 1038B monitoring system, a Genelec 7070A active subwoofer, and tuning and design by Walters-Storyk Design Group’s Dirk Noy and John Storyk respectively.
Welcome To 1979, a retro recording studio just minutes from downtown Nashville, includes more than 7,000 square feet over two floors, which means there is plenty of room for bands to spread out. The live room is an impressive 25 x 40ft, and this is complemented by eight isolation rooms. Recording is done through a vintage MCI onto tape, but there is Pro Tools for those who wish to stay in the digital domain. The studio is well backed up on the instrument front, with three pianos and plenty of vintage keyboards.
More USA recording studios will be arriving in the coming months. Miloco has some amazing studios in the pipeline and is proud to be extending its directory Stateside.
