Ben Loveland

A bit about Ben

UK based recording engineer Ben Loveland started out in Liverpool, first cutting his teeth at Parr Street Studios before working under Al Groves across the city at The Motor Museum. Here he established a contact with Miloco and soon moved to London, assisting a wide collection of sessions in many of the studios on the roster. Finally, he took up the in-house assistant engineer position for The Pool Studio. Sessions included album recording for Florence + the Machine's 'Dance Fever', Jamie T's 'Old Style Radiers' , movie soundtrack recording for Disney and Aardman Animation and orchestral recording for ITV’s long-running crime drama ’Endeavour’.

Ben has an approach towards engineering that allows everything to develop and evolve naturally. Combined with classical and orchestral influences, he specialises in ensemble recording and arranging, most recently recording The Solem Quartet and The House Gospel Choir.

Over the course of many sessions Ben has worked with a variety of artists, producers and composers as he’s continued to build on his own style and workflow. These include Birdy, The 1975, Paul Epworth, Jim Abbiss, Chris Roe and Walter Mair.
