Swedish trio Peter Bjorn & John are back with their seventh album, Breakin’ Point, which was released today on INGRID, the collective label the band started with fellow Swedes such as Miike Snow and Lykke Li. For their first album in five years the band recruited producers Emile Haynie, Greg Kurstin, and the man behind The Church Studios, Paul Epworth. Having worked together on the wildly popular and infectious tune ‘Young Folks‘ a decade ago, the band reunited with the producer in late 2014 to begin work on the album at The Church.
Five tracks on the album were recorded and produced by Epworth in The Church Studio 1 and Studio 3, including ‘A Long Goodbye’, ‘Nostalgia Intellect’, ‘Hard Sleep’, ‘Pretty Dumb, Pretty Lame’ and the second single from the album, ‘Dominos’. Engineering and assisting was provided by Miloco engineer Matt Wiggins, Adam Durbridge and Joseph Hartwell-Jones.
