The long awaited second album from UK #1 artist James Bay is here. Electric Light was released today on Republic Records/Universal Music following the earlier release of the singles ‘Wild Love‘, ‘Pink Lemonade’ and ‘Us’
Gone are the long locks and signature hat from his debut album The Chaos And The Calm, Bay has gone through somewhat of a visual and musical makeover for his 2018 follow up.
The teams at a few of our studios had the pleasure of working with James and his team over the past few months, including Livingston Studios, where he recorded ‘Pink Lemonade’, and The Church Studios, who worked on much of the album.
Award winning producer, and owner of our partner studio The Church, Paul Epworth was personally called upon by James to help put his “magic touch” on the project. Paul and his team worked on 11 of the album’s 14 tracks, with Paul providing additional production or co-production, and engineers Riley MacIntyre and Luke Pickering credited as assistant engineers.
