One of the most hotly-tipped debuts of the year hails from the Peckham-based 5-piece The Metros, who cite their influences from fellow London-associated acts such as Squeeze and The Blockheads. Perhaps no coincidence then, that they hooked up with the singer / producer Baxter Dury (of Dury family fame) to whip up this raucously impressive splurge of uptempo indie rock. Baxter and the band were joined by engineer Finn Eiles to trackĀ ‘More Money Less Grief’. A number of sessions took place at The Square in the second half of 2007.
