Leeds five-piece rock band Eagulls have released their second studio LP, Ullages. Released on Friday May 13th, Ullages is the follow up to their self-titled debut album two years ago, which was also released on Partisan Records.
The post-punk collective’s sophomore album is 11-tracks long, which were recorded in a converted church in the band’s hometown, Leeds, with producer Matt Peel. The whole 11 track album was then mixed by Craig Silvey at Miloco partner studio, Toast in November and December of 2015.
The band released ‘Lemontrees’ as the lead single earlier in 2016, followed by ‘My Life In Rewind’, which you can stream below, prior to the album’s release. It has so far received largely positive reviews, with one critic citing it as a record that recalls the “shimmering opulence of the Cocteau Twins and the melancholic majesty of Disintegration / Pornography-era The Cure.”
Eagulls are set to play The Great Escape festival in Brighton this week, where the Miloco Team will be in attendance scoping out new bands and bringing you highlights from the festival.
