Welcome to Bam Bam Studios, a hidden gem nestled in the picturesque Norfolk countryside. This residential recording studio provides a unique retreat for musicians, writers, bands, and artists seeking an inspiring environment to bring their creative visions to life.
Bam Bam Studios boasts a large selection of vintage and modern instruments and recording equipment, including class-A preamps and an impressive collection of microphones.
Owner Harry has devoted considerable time and effort to carefully select a diverse mic locker, featuring a vintage pair of Neumann KM84s, a Neumann U67, a Flea 47, Coles 4038s, a Neumann U87AI, and more.
As a guitarist, Harry has spent years building a vast collection of high-end guitars, guitar amplifiers, and pedals. Musicians can arrive empty-handed yet still access an array of equipment to achieve any desired sound.

The Live Room
The studio's spacious live room is housed in a Grade II* listed building expertly sound-treated by Yellow Technology. Flooded with natural light, it offers ample space to record everything from solo artists and small bands to larger ensembles and choirs. The acoustic treatments allow the room to be both ambient and controlled, with plenty of dampening and tonal options. Movable baffles and curtains provide a mixture of sound possibilities.
Within the live room, visitors can find multiple pianos, keyboards, and synths, including two upright pianos, a Juno 106, and a rare 1967 Vox Continental Organ.
The Control Room
At the heart of the studio lies the meticulously designed control room, centered around the new API 1608 MII console. In combination with the 8-channel Neve 1073OPX and Neve 1073SPX, the studio offers a total of 25 channels into the Antelope Orion 32+.
The control room features an array of outboard gear, including a Roland 201 Space Echo, Universal Audio 1176-2, Neve 1073 SPX, Neve 1073 OPX, Empirical Labs EL8 Distressor x2, DBX160A x3, Audioscape Opto Compressor (LA-2A clone), SSL Fusion, Alesis Multiverb, Black Lion Seventeen, Pioneer 212, Genelec 8341As, Death By Audio Lo-Fi Delay, API550A x6, API560 x2, Neve 1073LB x2, and Rupert Neve Designs 551 EQs.
The control room is now equipped with Genelec 8341A and Yamaha HS7 monitors and was treated by Yellow Technology to create an ideal mixing environment. The modern setup is designed for ease of use by external engineers and producers.
