Mushroom Studio is hidden in the woods of northern Italy, approximatiely one hour drive from the beautiful city of Venice and its airports.
The old house, built in 1800, sits in an enormous garden and enjoys breathtaking views of the mountains and the sound of a nearby creek. Surrounded by nature and blessed with infinite peace, the studio is the ideal location for creative projects.
During the day the rooms are flooded with sunlight and give you a healthy and energetic feeling. But as soon as the sun goes down, the electric lights mix with the tones of the wooden floors, ceiling and the colours of the pictures, leaving you enchanted by a dreamy vibe - you are immediately set out of time into your music.
In the studio you can find a large selection of vintage and modern instruments, amplifiers and pedals. Everything you need from drum kits to a Hammond L100 organ, from ZVex pedals to Martin acoustic guitars. It is all there to help you shape your sound. Loads more gear is available on request.
The icing on the cake is a small but amazing control room boasting a splendid 36 channel Neve VR console fitted with Flying Faders. Some high end outboard and a few other toys such as a tape delay and spring reverb, are sidekicks to the desk.
Recording and mixing is taken care by a HDX Pro Tools rig with 24 channels of Apogee and 8 channels of HD I/O conversion, all clocked by Bigben.
Monitoring is provided by a state-of-the-art Cranesong Avocet master section, and PMC TwoTwo8 speakers.
Outside the studio itself, there is a large and light kitchen fitted with a stove where you can cook or burn logs to warm the bones. The kitchen has all the tech specs one needs to make a decent meal. There are also a couple of couches and a stereo.
