Studio 1 - The Pool

The Pool will end your search for the ultimate London recording studio. As far as tracking rooms go it has pretty much everything; a stunning Neve recording console, a vast live area that resonates vibe and creativity, a control room packed full of vintage equipment and a booth designed to offer a range of acoustics.

The fully re-designed control room sits at the front of the studio. Light, airy and contemporary, the space has been flipped a complete 180, and boasts a full refurbishment from the Miloco Builds team with acoustic design from Nick Whitaker. Its centrepiece is a Custom Series 75 console powered by Neve; a 24 Channel (48 input) desk designed by the same team who designed the Neve 88RS and now made under license from Neve. This is a vintage Never with improvements; the EQs are based on Neve 1081s using output transformers from the 1073's. On the master bus the desk comes with a stereo 2254 compressor. The console is flanked by Augspurger Treo 812 CFM Close Field Main Monitors, ATC SCM20s and Yamaha NS10s, alongside floating racks of choice outboard including 8 Neve 33415 mic pres, 9 vintage Neve 1979 pres, an Eventide Ultra-Harmonizer, Distressors, 1176s and LA-3As

The control room looks out over 1120 sq ft of powerful, punchy and dynamic live space equipped with an enormous collection of backline. There's a custom-built booth measuring 3 meters high and capable of yielding all sorts of interesting sounds, or, you may wish to go all out in the main live room using a selection of acoustic panels to fine-tune your drum sound. The Pool's backline includes an assortment of other percussive treats alongside a Yamaha Baby Grand Piano, 2 uprights, a Moog Model D, Mellotron, an immense range of guitars that includes a 60s Precision Bass, 60s Telecaster, and a huge selection of amps including a Fender Twin, Princeton, all of which can be recorded by a total of 50 different microphones. A bespoke amp box large enough for an Ampeg SVT is also at your disposal, and provided is an Ampeg

The Pool is a hugely versatile recording studio. Bands love the backline, engineers and producers love the recording gear and everyone loves the vibe. Whilst being a top class tracking space it is also a great facility to film in, we welcome all projects!
