Situated at the heart of the world-renowed Tileyard London complex in Kings Cross, TYE London is a first-rate writing, recording and production studio, providing state of the art facilities and a relaxed atmosphere.
Founded by Tileyard resident and collaborator, Sean Hargreaves, the studio was designed by Chris Walls (Abbey Road, British Grove). Its spacious 32m² control room is focussed around working in the box, and is centred around a Pro Tools HD Native rig with an Avid S3 Control Surface and Neve 8816 Summing Mixer. Monitoring is courtesy of a pair of Adam S5s, with the industry standard NS10s on hand so you can always get a reference for what you're doing. There's 12 channels of Heritage Audio DMA73 preamps, alongside others from Chandler, Focusrite and API, as well as numerous options for outboard compression and EQ.
The studio's 21m² live room features a choice of either a Natal Maple UR kit, or a Drummers World Custom Made drum kit. There's a lovely Yamaha U3 upright piano, alongside a Fender Rhodes, Wurlitzer and a Hammond & Leslie, a large selection of mics that includes 2 vintage U87is, and a great choice of instruments and backline both provided with the studio as standard, or available by request.
TYE London is completely self-contained, with a dedicated reception area and green room/lounge. The green room features another workstation, as does the studio's 5.5m² iso booth, providing a total of 3 seperate spaces in which to work on projects simultaneously. Outside the studio, clients can benefit from the range of amenities offered by Tileyard London, from cafe's and food stalls to event space and even a wellness centre!
