The Ironworks

Brighton Recording Studios

What: Loopmasters and Drumdrops present this incredible sounding recording studio based in the North Laines. It is the brainchild of producer and engineer, Mike Pelanconi.

The Park Studios

The Park Studio, Brighton

What: A centrally located, beautifully designed and yet affordable recording studio in the City of Brighton. Its fantastic sounding double-height live room is the stunning centrepiece of this recently completed studio, based around an Amek Media 51 console with inbuilt Neve preamps and EQ, Pro Tools HD, Apogee AD/DA, with Genelec 1030A and Yamaha NS10 monitoring. An extensive selection of analogue and valve outboards is at your disposal, along with a great backline and a large collection of microphones.

The Toy Rooms

Brighton Recording Studios

What: A vintage analogue recording studio located on Brighton’s famous seafront and home to producers Pablo Clements and James Griffith (UNKLE). This boutique recording studio has been devised and assembled in a unique and inspiring way, packed full of great gear. It rightly claims the largest collection of vintage synths and recording equipment in town – a collection of kit impressive enough to rival specs at some of the UK’s very best studios.

Brighton Electric

Brighton Recording Studios

What: Brighton Electric’s flagship tracking & mixing studio featuring a 70’s Neve 5316 console & full complement of high end pre’s & mics. With Protools 9HD, ATC SCM100A, NS10’s., a stunning high ceiling live room makes it an impressive choice. Need a rehearsal room quick sharp? Brighton Electric can sort you out!

Metway studio

Brighton Recording Studios

What: Tracking, mixing and mastering facility, also known as the home of the Levellers. Having been an established commercial recording studio for over a decade, they can accommodate any budget and project.

Clients: Electric Soft Parade, Levellers, Asian Dub Foundation.

If you haven’t been to GAK before, you don’t know what you’re missing! Any musician walking into this shop will think they’ve died and gone to heaven. I remember spending hours in here, just taking it all in, trying out guitars and watching other shoppers play their very best riffs in the middle of the shop floor.
