Ravenscourt Studios gains piano and roof terrace

As of Wednesday, Ravenscourt Studios has had a Bentley six-octave piano in Studio 3.

“We’ve added a vibey little Bentley piano to Studio 3 and its absolutely perfect for the room,” says engineer Sam Farr. “It dates back to 1957 so its not too bright which I think is ideal for most things. It also sounds much bigger than it looks. We’ll probably leave it in the control room for writing sessions but its super-easy to move it to the booth for recording sessions.”

The west London facility has also just built a roof terrace, which makes a great private space for lunch/smoking etc.

“We’ve also completed work on the roof terrace that we started in July,” tells Sam. “Its a fantastic space that gets loads of sun and is a great spot to chill out when you need a break from the studio. Bring some bangers and you can have a barbie!”
