The Ship comes aboard Miloco

Miloco has been pretty busy in the land of the stars and stripes recently are pleased to announce we have added another Los Angeles studio to our roster with The Ship.

Located in the up and coming Eagle Rock neighbourhood in east LA, the retro nautical-themed studio is owned and run by Aaron Espinoza from the band Earlimart. As an artist himself, this gives Aaron and The Ship a unique understanding of recording artists’ needs and processes.

At over 1,000 square feet the studio is home to a large control room,  a comfortable live room with high ceilings, an isolation booth and a small iso/office. This provides plenty of space for all manner of projects, but retains the cosy laid-back vibe Aaron and his team have crafted so well.

Gear wise The Ship is a harmony of digital and analogue with an emphasis on the latter, centred around a modified ADM console with all the bells and whistles, and full to the brim with outboard gear, Pro Tools, a wide range of mics, vintage drums, guitars and amps, keys – the list goes on. Getting all this, and in such a cool studio setting in a vibrant part of LA it’s no wonder The Ship has seen the likes of Glass Animals, Flosstradamus, Clams Casino, Shamir, Kimbra and She and Him pass through their doors. Take a virtual tour through The Ship here and get ready to set sail!
