Arguably the biggest British band in the world right now, The 1975 returned to Miloco for a third successive album, having recorded their second LP at Livingston Studios back in 2016, and hunkering down at Angelic Studio in Northamptonshire for their third in 2018.
For their fourth record Notes On A Conditional Form, the guys returned to the tranquil surroundings of Angelic throughout 2019, where they wrote the entire record, as well as undertaking a large amount of the tracking. Throughout their time at Angelic they were assisted by in-house assistant Luke Gibbs. As well as Angelic, the band also spent three weeks at The Church Studio 2 in Crouch Hill in early 2020, working on the tracks ‘If You’re Too Shy’, ‘Guys’ and ‘Nothing Revealed / Everything Denied’. Their sessions at The Church were assisted by Miloco assistants Luke Pickering and Ben Loveland. The record was also mastered at Miloco’s partner studio 24-96 Mastering by Robin Schmidt.
