The music world is celebrating the twentieth anniversary of Nirvana’s ‘Nevermind’, and tributes to the grunge masterpiece are flying in from all genres and in all forms. ‘Battle for Seattle’ is a reggae covers album of 10 Nirvana tracks, fronted by Little Roy, produced by Prince Fatty (aka Mike Pelanconi), and envisaged by Mutant Hi-Fi. There are numerous contributions from other veteran Jamaican musicians, including Wailers guitarist Junior Marvin. Battle For Seattle looks set to follow in the footsteps of fellow reggae tribute albums, ‘Dub Side of the Moon’ and ‘Radiodread’. Mike Pelanconi produced and mixed the album at Miloco’s The Ironworks.
