We first met Liverpool singer-songwriter Luke Cusato back in February, when he won a competition run by Sentric Music in collaboration with Miloco, called The Next Big Sync. As part of the prize the winner won free studio time in any Miloco Studio of their choosing. As a proud Liverpudlian, and a repeat client of our quirky Liverpool partner studio The Motor Museum, Luke linked up with Al Groves, James Mellor and the team there once more to record his new song, ‘Breathe’.
In April we checked back in with Luke during his sessions at The Motor Museum to get to know him a bit better, and try and get the scoop on the new single. Today we get to hear the finished product, with ‘Breathe’ being released on Heroic Recordings, a Netherlands-based label Luke recently inked a deal with.
Describing the song as “stripped back, emotional and full of moving vocals”, ‘Breathe’ is both delicate and powerful, drawing on Luke’s signature impassioned songwriting about loss and heartbreak. “I feel its a proper ‘pour your heart out’ kind of track,” says Luke. “Sentric, The Motor Museum and me all put our influences to it, I’m well proud of it!”
It’s a gorgeous song from a promising artist we will definitely be keeping our eyes on!
