Whereas the Arctics make the headlines for Sheffield music, let us not forget another of the Steel City’s true contemporary innovators. The Long Blondes are back in fine fettle with the follow up to debut album ‘Someone to Drive you Home, ploughing further into their distinct field of vigorous indie synthpop. ‘Couples’ was tracked by producer Erol Alkan and engineer Jimmy Robertson in The Garden in October and November 2007.
