After becoming synonymous for providing the soundtrack to scenes in The OC where devishly good-looking Los Angelean teens glaze their golden skin on the Pacific sand, before heading to a ludicrously unrealistic house party ending in a spoilt brat accidently blowing his mate’s leg off with a rifle, Turin Brakes return to the studio once more. For their brilliant fourth album, Dark On Fire. The Brakes boys have drafted in Kings Of Leon / Ray Lamontagne / Ryan Adams producer Ethan Johns. Turin Brakes and Ethan Johns were in The Pool tracking part of the new album in January 2007.
