Future Present Past EP is the first taste of music we’ve had from The Strokes since their 2013 hit album Comedown Machine, which marked the end of their five-album deal with RCA. The band are now signed with lead singer Julian Casablancas’ Cult Records, and have today released a four-track EP, the first since their 2001 debut.

The EP is comprised of three new cuts, ‘Drag Queen’, ‘Oblivius’ and ‘Threat Of Joy’ followed by  Fabrizio Moretti’s ‘Oblivius’ remix. Early reviews of the EP have been positive, describing the three original tracks as being representative of the band’s future, present and past musical style.

Ben Baptie mixed ‘Oblivius’, the EP’s lead single, on the Neve desk in Miloco partner studio Assault & Battery 2 before mixing the final two original tracks a few weeks later.
