160DL Studios

160DL Studios is a high-spec recording studio in the heart of Dalston, designed for artists, producers, and engineers working at a professional level. Opened in 2026 the studio is centred around an acoustically floated live room with a five meter ceiling and an adjoining reflective chamber offering a natural reverb decay of around eight seconds.

The facility includes the double-height tracking room, isolated vocal booth and a carefully curated collection of microphones, instruments and outboard, including classic Neumann microphones and a vintage 1976 Ludwig drum kit..

At the heart of the studio is a custom SSL-built 24-channel Harrison 32Classic console, delivering a world-class tracking and writing environment, direct monitoring and performer adjustable foldbackmixers. A fully integrated Dante workflow allows producers to connect a laptop via USB and access every channel, monitor mix and outboard processors within minutes.

As well as being a world-class tracking facility, 160DL is designed to be a playground for electronic producers, with an extensive collection of synthesisers, drum machines and effects permanently patched and ready to use. Monitoring is provided by a pair of Kerr Acoustic K100 Mk.2 loudspeakers powered by a 500W Chord amplifier, with Yamaha NS-10s available as an alternative reference.

Previous clients include D Double E, Alanis Morissette, The Prodigy, Hudson Mohawke, Imogen Heap, Laura Mvula, The Avalanches, UBS, Ashnikko, Transport for London's Art on the Underground programme and Oxfam's No More Radio Silence.

The wider complex is home to residents including The Blessed Madonna, Olly Burden of The Prodigy, Mount Kimbie and Warp Publishing.

Beyond recording, 160DL studios regularly hosts live performances, listening sessions, exhibitions, rehearsals, brand activations and community events, making it one of East London's most active creative spaces.
