Battery Studio 1 is an SSL mix room with a real edge. Based at the famous Battery Studios complex in Willesden, the studio was devised by two of the industry's top producers, Alan Moulder and Flood, and is Alan's favourite room to mix in. Some of his projects to have been mixed here include Royal Blood's 'Royal Blood', Interpol's 'El Pintor', La Roux's 'Trouble In Paradise', Foals' 'Holy Fire' and Led Zeppelin's 'Celebration Day'.
Battery Studio 1 is an intimate, individual and outstandingly accurate mix environment. An exceptional spec has been compiled by Alan and Flood throughout their careers. It features a pristine 72 Channel SSL G+ SL4000, a huge range of outboard including many rare and popular compressors, mic pres, reverbs and effects processors, and a Pro Tools HDX rig loaded with an unbelievable number of plug-ins.
The studio also comprises a large overdub booth, which is great for recording guitars and vocals. It can also popularly used as a 'B Studio' for editing, and even a chill-out lounge, made especially effective by its inspiring and atmospheric interior style, which adds to the character of this truly maverick mix room...
