History: The Battery Studios Complex in Willesden Green began its life as a four-studio complex called Morgan Studios, or Morgan Sound Studios, owned by Barry Morgan. It was a very important studio in the 1960s and 70s, recording artists such as Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Paul McCartney, Black Sabbath and The Cure. In 1975 Morgan Studios was sold to global music company Zomba Group, a Sony Music entity, becoming Battery Studios. During this time legendary albums by Iron Maiden, Billy Ocean, and The Stone Roses were all produced at here. After changing hands a few times in the early noughties, producers Alan Moulder & Flood took over Studio 4 in 2005, and Studio 3 in 2008, turning them into Assault and Battery Studio 1 and 2, respectively. In early 2021, Miloco entered a joint partnership with Flood and Moulder to manage the studios going forward, renaming them once again to Battery Studios to better reflect the complex's extensive heritage.
