JBJ is London's premier residential recording studio. Based on Portobello Road, Notting Hill, the studio has firmly established itself as one of the most unique recording studios in the world, and regularly attracts the biggest names in the industry. Recent clients include Skrillex, Olivia Rodrigo, Stormzy, Burna Boy, Sigrid and Liam Payne, to name a few.
The studios were built by leading acoustician Nick Whittaker, and are hugely inspiring, creative spaces offering vast amounts of natural light. The combination of their recently installed Quested Q412s (ex Abbey Road), ATC SCM25a's, NS10s and perfectly calibrated Trinnov ST2 Pro system makes their control room one of the most accurate monitoring spaces in the country.
Based around an SSL AWS 924 console, an abundance of analogue outboard gear (Neve, Fearn, GML, Pultec etc), a full Pro Tools rig and Studer A80 tape machine, JBJ can capture your performance with ultra sonic clarity, be it digital or vintage. No matter if you're tracking or mixing, the studio has everything you need to create a world class product. They also have an incredible mic collection (Neumann, Brauner, Royer, Coles), a Yamaha grand piano, Martin acoustics, vintage amps, 2 drum kits and a bunch of guitars/pedals.
Artists looking to relax and sink into their projects can take advantage of the bespoke residency and chill-out areas the studio offers. The living areas were designed by acclaimed Swedish interior expert Carolin Larsberg and feature the studio's famous slide; you can quite literally "slide" from bed to work! Every area of the house can be connected to the main studio, and there are writing/demo set-ups in multiple rooms. The studio also accomodates filming and photoshoots where requested.
JBJ Studio is located in the heart of London's Portobello Road, and some of London's finest eateries and bars are located on their doorstep. Notting Hill is deeply entrenched in diversity and culture, and that is perfectly demonstrated in the variety of different world cuisines on offer.
