Limusic Studio stands for the combination of recording and studio spaces and an inspiring, natural environment in beautiful Southern France. Located on a former vinery, the whole complex aims to provide everything to get their guests in the physical and mental space to be creative without any unwanted distractions.
Several buildings located around a small square with olive trees form the core of Limusic, housing studios and recording spaces as well as accommodation. The complex also offers an outdoor kitchen with dining room, a cozy barn with darts and table tennis, and a pool with the most beautiful panorama of French vineyards.
In one building, you'll find Studio A, Studio B and the Live Room. All of the different studios and recording spaces at Limusic can be used independently or in combination and Studio A is the main control room. The studio sports an SSL AWS 948 delta console, as well as expansive array of outboard equipment. A pair of ATC SCM110ASL Pro's serve as the main monitoring system.
Next to Studio A is the Live Room. With natural stone walls and wooden beams this is a spectacular versatile room to record in. A well curated collection of instruments consisting of a completely refurbished Steinway B-211 Grand Piano from 1876, a Fender Rhodes piano, some classic Fender and Gibson guitars, drums and more are always set up and ready to record. Of course, other instruments can be brought in at any time.
Studio B can be found next door to the Live Room, and contains an SSL Matrix console as well as a nice collection of external preamps and a Yamaha CP-70. This room can either be used as a producer workspace, as an alternative control room for the Live Room or as an expansion to it. With a viewing axis to the other two rooms, it is well suited to separate instruments during a live recording.
Outside of Studio A there is also an isolation booth used to separate vocals, drums or bass and guitar amps. Next to it, a small studio kiosk can be found offering ChariTea and Lemonaid, regional wine, Crémant and small snacks.
On the opposite site of the square there is another set of recording rooms. At 300sqm the biggest room is the Atelier, a multipurpose room used for recording and writing sessions. The wooden floor and ceiling, natural stone wall and the size of the room offer truly unique acoustics for strings, choirs and live recordings in general. The room is also well suited to be used as a location for video recordings.
Underneath the Atelier the old vine reservoirs made of wood and concrete are still in place, and are now used as reverb chambers. Back-to-back with the Atelier stands the old Orangerie; with it's high ceiling, natural stone walls and glass windows this room's acoustic resembles a small chapel making it outstanding for vocals, acoustic instruments and also as a reverb chamber. Next to the Atelier, Studio C offers a cozy producer workspace which can be used either independently or in conjunction with the Atelier.
Buildings on both sides contain apartments and chambers for guests. Carefully renovated and authentically decorated with great attention to detail, this place is designed to become your home from home. Also part of the property is a vast park surrounding the buildings and offering a natural, calming environment.
