They just don't build them like this anymore, Migration is remarkable! To have a modern studio with all the attributes of the classic studios of old is so rare and special. The live-room is a wonderful reflective space with otherworldly sonic character, and the control room encourages and permits boundless creative flow. Migration engenders gentle creative introspection and is responsible for some of the happiest recording experiences in my 30 years as a recording artist. Georgeous food, comfy beds, amazing surroundings, lovely people, and a beautiful state of the art studio.
Migration Studios wasn't just a working space for me. Only a few days in, it became a sanctuary and the ease, playfulness and fun we feel making music as teenagers came back to me. Within a month of being there I wrote the majority of my second album - which is testament to the safety and HOME that Dicky, Ana Maria and Ruth has built for us musicians. You spend long enough in the industry, you realise that is rare to come by - I'll forever be grateful for my time there.
