Park Chapel Studios Intro

Nestled in a striking mid-Victorian church in Crouch End, Park Chapel Studios is a characterful recording complex with a rich musical history and a stellar range of modern and vintage gear.

Originally built in 1855, the building has played many roles over the years, from school and library to artist studios, before becoming part of Dave Stewart's (Eurythmics) creative hub in the 1980s — where "Sweet Dreams" was famously recorded. After the song's success, Stewart bought much of the building and developed various studios.

In 1996, while signed to Stewart's publishing company Anxious Music, Ricky Barber first set foot in the part of the complex that he later took over and named The Crypt Studio. Thirty years later, as a gesture to the building's storied past, Ricky's studio reopened as Park Chapel Studios - an arm of Park Chapel Group, which also contains a production arm (Park Chapel Audio), and a commercial music library (Park Chapel Music).

Today, Park Chapel centres around its impressive Studio One, a large, daylit live room with high ceilings and a distinctive acoustic, paired with a dedicated production suite in Studio Two. With over 25 years of recording and mixing experience behind it, the studio offers a versatile environment suited to everything from band tracking and overdubs through to writing, production, podcasts and filming.

Located in North London, Park Chapel combines a unique sense of history with a practical, modern setup, making it a popular choice for both established artists and independent creators.
