British singer-songwriter The Japanese House, aka Amber Bain, returned to Miloco Studios to work on her debut album Good At Falling, having worked on her third EP Faces Like Thunder.

Once again recruiting members of The 1975, Good At Falling was produced by the band’s George Daniel and BJ Burton (Bon Iver, Francis & The Lights), with Amber undertaking much of the electronic producer herself in Logic. Recorded between the US and the UK, Amber and BJ booked in to residential studio Angelic Studios to undertake a lot of the writing and recording for the album.

Almost half the project was recorded here, with Angelic’s Luke assisting Amber and BJ recording vocals, guitar, bass and piano on ‘Went to Meet Her, ‘Maybe You’re the Reason’, ‘You Seemed so Happy’, ‘Follow My Girl’, ‘Lilo’ and ‘Faraway’ all making the final cut.
