Rufus Wainwright‘s latest project Take All My Loves: 9 Shakespeare Sonnets was released today, to mark the 400 year anniversary since William Shakespeare’s death tomorrow.

The album is a collection of Shakespeare sonnets adapted into song, featuring Helena Bonham Carter, Carrie Fisher, William Shatner, Wainwright’s sister, Martha Wainwright, and more. Rufus himself only sings leads vocals on three of the 16 songs.

One track on the album, “When in Disgrace with Fortune and Men’s Eyes (Sonnet 29) featuring Florence Welch & Ben De Vries” was recorded in Miloco’s The Pool studio in January 2016, with both Florence and Rufus attending to record together. The session was recorded and engineered by Miloco producer/engineer Brett Shaw, and assisted by The Pool’s in-house assistant, Jamie McEvoy.

In their review of the album NME named “When in Disgrace with Fortune and Men’s Eyes (Sonnet 29)” the best track on the album, saying Florence’s “soft and restrained vocal performance on this pretty folk ballad is a highlight”
