Sheffield rock band Bring Me the Horizon released ‘Throne’, their new single, on 23 July via RCA.
‘Throne’ is an exhilarating ride of a track, bursting with huge riffs and soaring vocals. It was recorded in Santorini, Greece at the luxurious Black Rock studio, engineered by Al Groves and produced by the band’s own Oli Sykes and Jordan Fish.
Al met Bring Me the Horizon in August 2014 when they came to his studio The Motor Museum to record their single ‘Drown’, which dominated Radio 1’s playlist with 260 plays.
‘Throne’ was one of the first songs Al and the band recorded during two-month ‘That’s the Spirit’ album sessions at Black Rock. “The band had spent three months doing pre-production before we got out there so that song was all worked out and ready to go,” says Al. “I tracked the band in the main studio and Jordan and Ollie would do vocals in a second studio we set up in one of the booths.”
