Our largest, multi-use space is full of natural light and equipped with a selection of analogue outboard and vintage microphones, a Yamaha U1 piano, custom-built hifi speakers, a dressing room, and a kitchen. Studio 2 is perfect for larger writing sessions & writing camps, recording, listening parties, events and content creation.
The main studio space has double height ceilings and is flooded with natural light. At the far end of the room, a beautiful reconditioned Yamaha U1 piano sits between two custom built Wilmslow Audio tower speakers. Studio 2 has been built with flexibility in mind: the space is perfect for spacious writing sessions and writing camps, as well as for comfortable tracking. The tower speakers are tuned for the room and sound great, whether putting on a record for some inspiration, or hosting a large album playback session.
The space comes paired with a selection of analogue hardware, vintage microphones and ATC monitoring, all built into a movable rig which can be positioned anywhere in the room. For larger recording sessions, additional equipment can be requested from our floating gear list, or taken from Studio 1 by separate arrangement.
Studio 2 has become a popular content and filming location considering the size of the room and the generous amount of natural light. The space comes with an additional photography and film backline such as a backdrop and c-stands, and has a dedicated dressing room, equipped with a custom back-lit mirror for makeup and styling. The studio is situated on ground floor level with a loading bay and parking space directly outside on Kingsland Road. For those wishing to control natural light levels, it is also possible to completely remove light from the space by drawing black out curtains in front of the windows.
There are a number of secure & private car parking spaces in a gated courtyard right outside the studio. Please let us know if you require parking when booking.
