Durbuy Music's owners have transformed the 70's riverside villa into a studio with the focus on quality, multifunctional flexibility and the respect for its breathtaking view.
Their main studio is 42m2 with plenty of natural light, and features a live room with adjacent control room. The live room has a warm sound, it's controlled, but enough to make drums come alive - and is large enough to set up a whole band. For a demo of how drums sound in the room click here.
The control room is designed for flexibility and convenience, usilising the best in modern technology. The whole complex is networked via Dante, meaning you can take a signal from across the building to the control room, including the outside terrace. This is routed through 2 Prism Sound Titans and a Focusrite RedNet A16R, into a Mac running ProTools, Logic or Ableton. Durbuy have carefully chosen multiple types of preamps so you can experiment with different recording colours, including 4 Shadow Hills Mono GAMAs, 2 Neve 1073LBs and 2 Neve Portico 517s.
The natural environment surrounding the studio creates a pleasant, relaxed working atmosphere, and if you look outside long enough, you may see beavers, deer, squirrels, kingfishers, herons, woodpeckers and many other wonders of nature.
