Located in the thriving community of Bermondsey, just off the bustling Tower Bridge Road, Elektrobank is perfectly placed if you're looking for places to eat or things to do.
Within short walking distance are a plethora of incredible dining options, from the World-famous Borough Market to the bouji oasis of Bermondsey Street, and from the global cuisine of Mercato Metropolitano to one of the oldest pie and mash houses in London.
On top of this, there are plenty of sights to see in the surrounding area, including unbeatable city vistas, historic sites, and independent live music venues.
A mere 15 minute walk from the studio is the tallest building in Western Europe, The Shard. 72 stories up is The View from The Shard, featuring the finest views the capital has to offer.
Sitting just north of Waterloo Station is the South Bank area of the Thames. The cultural heart of London, it is home to various arts spaces including the Southbank Centre, The British Film Institute, The National Theatre and The Hayward Gallery. As well as this there are a whole host of bars and restaurants, including a regular streetfood market and The Green Room.
Opened in 2016 by Ben Lovett from Mumford & Sons, Omeara is a live music, creative event and club space situated on Flat Iron Square in Borough. Specifically targeted towards new and emerging talent, it's a great space to go and watch gigs, and benefits from the plethora of food and drink options right on its doorstep.
If you want to expend some energy and train those fingertips by bouldering over more than 11,000 square feet of wall, then look no further than The Arch Bermondsey! Featuring everything you need to get off the ground, including shoe and chalk bag rentals, it's a great way to blow off some steam if you need a break from the studio.
The flagship restaurant of renowned Spanish chef José Pizarro, Pizarro is the sit-down sibling of his original tapas bar José, just down the road also on Bermondsey Street. Serving both tapas-style sharing plates as well as larger starters and mains, expect Spanish classics like Padrón peppers, croquetas and pan con tomate, as well as the finest acorn-fed Iberian pork and suckling lamb.
A cracking local pub a mere 5 minutes walk from the studio, Spit and Sawdust have an impeccable rolling selection of local beers on offer, as well as a weekly Tuesday pub quiz and, best of all, Taco Wednesdays, featuring incredible authentic tacos at just £2.50 a pop, what's not to love?
If you're in need of a world-class coffee, look no further than Bermondsey Street's WatchHouse. Featuring single-origin beans roasted at their Bermondsey roasting house, as well as a glorious selection of tasty treats (think breakfast burritos, sausage brioche buns, and millionaire shortbread slices), it's our first port of call if we're flagging and feeling fancy.
Looking for somewhere to eat but struggling to find a cuisine to suit everyone's tastes? Look no further than Mercato Metropolitano! A ginormous food hall with countless cuisines from around the world, as well as plenty of bars, there's something for everyone, and even a super-secret jazz bar if you can find it...
A 15 minute walk north of the studio will lead you to the world-famous Borough Market. Established in its current location in 1756, the market has, in more recent years, evolved from a wholesale fruit and veg market to a retail market, offering everything from deli stalls, to bakeries, to full-blown sitdown restaurants. Some of our highlights include the World's finest cheese toastie from Kapacesein Dairy, some of London's best pizza from Bread Ahead bakery, the legendary Brindisa Chorizo Roll, and the fantastic Elliot's.
