Berliner Philharmonie

Get some creative inspiration at the beautiful Berliner Philharmonie concert hall. The huge, gold, tent-shaped building was built in 1963, and is home to the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra.

Checkpoint Charlie

Located on the corner of Friedrichstraße and Zimmerstraße, it is a reminder of the former border crossing, the Cold War and the partition of Berlin. The barrier and checkpoint booth, the flag and the sandbags are all based on the original site – and are a popular subject for photos.

Brandenburg Gate

The iconic Brandenburg Gate is a stunning neoclassical gate built in the 18th century, which was built on the site of a former city gate that marked the start of the road from Berlin to the town of Brandenburg an der Havel.
