The is a varied selection of hotels not far from the studio. They include upmarket establishments in fashionable areas such as the nearby Muswell Hill and, further west, Hampstead. There are some cheap and cheerful family run bed and breakfasts, as well as some budget hotel chains. Here is a selection.
Set in a redbrick property on a tree-lined street, this modest hotel is a 12-minute walk from Alexandra Palace music and events venue, and 1.1 miles from East Finchley tube station for links to central London. The unassuming rooms feature free WiFi, TVs, and tea and coffeemaking facilities. Family rooms sleep up to 4 people. There's a complimentary breakfast buffet, plus 2 function rooms and terrace seating.
The Raglan is a popular hotel in the nearby neighbourhood of Muswell Hill, west of Alexandra Palace. There is a selection of standard doubles, luxury doubles, executive suites and family rooms. There is a classy bar and breakfast room too.
The 4-star Langford is in fashionable Hampstead, to the west of Wood Green but not far in a cab. It provides high standard hotel suites for shorter stays, or apartments for longer ones.
There is a trusty Premier Inn in Hampstead, one of the most affluent areas of North London. It is a short cab drive from the studio and has good connections to the rest of the city.
A small, quiet and good value hotel located in the nearby area of Crouch End with good transport connections to the studio and rest of London.
A cheap and cheerful family run hotel in Hornsey, so very close to the studio. It has generally postive reviews (see Tripadvisor link above).
Slightly further North in the Southgate suburb is a basic Travelodge. Family and double rooms are available.
