Set five minutes walk from our studio, Woodberry Wetlands is an operating reservoir, originally constructed in 1833 and closed to public access ever since. Working with Thames Water, London Wildlife Trust has carefully built an urban wetland oasis rich in wildlife.
Surrounded by 196 acres of lavish parkland and offering stunning views of London's skyline, this Victorian-style palace offers multi-purpose halls and rooms for a variety of events such as banquets, dinners, concerts and exhibitions.
Set on the lakeside of Woodberry Wetland's North Lake, the Coal House Café is open daily for delicious breakfast, brunch and lunch. We serve quality roasted coffee and homemade seasonal food with locally-sourced ingredients. We open every day 9am–4pm (final kitchen orders at 3.30pm).
It is not unusual when frequenting London pubs to share both furniture and personal space with strangers. In this grand old building at the north end of Green Lanes you barely have to share bar staff: it's absolutely massive. Taxidermy cases and ornate cornicing decorate the central, beer-focused bar, and drinkers take their pick from private booths, fireside armchairs or more sociable clusters of tables and chairs in one of two huge spaces.
