Based in the heart of Downtown Los Angeles's burgeoning Arts District neighbourhood, Principle Pleasure is a unique writing room, filled to the brim with vintage analogue synthesizers and drum machines.

Located in a 925 square foot warehouse within an industrial 1930s factory building, the iconic views of LA's brooding skyscrapers and historic landscapes create the perfect backdrop for filmic inspiration. The enviable location places Principle Pleasure at the heart of the city's rapidly expanding creative hub and is home to a growing number of internationally acclaimed artists, galleries, venues and musicians.

Owned and operated by producer and Sample Magic founder Sharooz Raoofi, the studio contains many one-off and customised instruments representing a personal collection over 20 years in the making.

Every machine is carefully maintained and configured to run with full MIDI or clock connectivity where possible, ensuring seamless live performance and ultimate compatibility. Clients can bring their own laptop and simply plug into the existing studio framework giving flexibility and familiarity.
