Friend and frequent client of Miloco Studios, J Hus, has returned with his second album Big Conspiracy. The UK emcee and Afrobashment pioneer returned to work with our team, following on from his debut album Common Sense, which was mainly mixed in our Westpoint and Red Room London studios.
This time J Hus and his producer Jae5 holed up inside one of the UK’s best residential recording studios, Angelic Studios, for a month in April of 2019 to record the album.
The team at Angelic had a great time working with Hus, Jae5, and a number of other producers who dropped in on the sessions, which were engineered by Darren Jones and Luke Gibbs, assisted by Luke Farnell.
During the sessions J Hus would be writing in Angelic’s on-site accommodation with the producers using the main space of the studio, coming over to record his verses whenever he and the engineers were ready. They even had UK urban music kingpin Skepta drop by to record ‘What Do You Mean?‘, a collaboration between the two artists that appeared on Skepta’s 2019 album Ignorance Is Bliss.
Overall we hear it was a really relaxed atmosphere during the time, with J Hus enjoying himself so much he extended the booking!
